Flood Stage

"Flood Stage" was created in the morning hours at the Hermann, MO Plein Air Festival on June 9, 2026. It had rained for the past 2 days and the river was rising quickly. The shadow of the bridge caught my eye along with the water swirling around the bridge support pillars. This bridge was the site I traveled over to the town of Hermann, where I first caught my glimpse of a Painter's Paradise that this town has become to me. There were so many areas to paint, yet this was probably my favorite one.
